Rhythm

Rhythm can be described as timed movement through space; an easy, connected path along which the eye follows a regular arrangement of objects.

Repitition

Repetition is created when objects, shapes, space, light, direction, lines etc. are repeated in artwork.

Contrast and Variety

Variety and contrast
an artist uses elements of art to create diversity and differences in design. Contrasting colors, textures, and patterns all add interest to the art work. Highlights of color to the corners or edges of some shapes maybe used to add contrast.



Unity

Unity is the result of how all element and principles work together. All parts must have some relation to each other. They must fit together to create the over all message and effect.

Movement

Movement
the use of lines, colors, values, textures, forms and space to carry or direct the eye of the viewer from one part of the design or picture to other is called movement. Movement is created in art by the way the artist uses the elements of design. Movement is generally created by the arrangement of shapes.



Emphasis

Emphasis is way of bring a dominance and subordination into a design or painting. Major objects, shapes, or colors may dominate a picture by taking up more space or by being heavier in volume or by being darker in color than the subordinate objects, shapes and colors. There must be balance between the dominant and subordinate elements.



Pattern

Pattern

The recurrence of elements within a piece: colours, lines, shapes, values, etc. Any element that occurs is generally echoed, often with some variation to keep interest. Rhythm in interior design also may be used to reduce randomness. For example, placing four plant pots in a row and evenly spaced apart on a floor produces an organized look.

Balance

Balance is the arrangement of lines, colors, values, textures, forms, and space. their are three types of balance: formal or symmetrical or informal or asymmetrical and radial balance. Formal or symmetrical balance has equal weight on both sides. Informal or asymmetrical balance has a different weight on on each side to maintain balance. Radial balance is a circular balance moving out from a central object to maintain balance.



Form

Form

Forms are 3-Dimensional. They occupy space or give the illusion that they occupy space. Form as home furniture or art may help add variety to reduce a monotonous (bare) look and increase visual appeal in interior design.

Space

Space is like nothing is being occupied, emptyness.  Nothing that the eye can see is visible.

Value

Value

Value is how light or darkened the colour you are using. Value is also referred to as tone.

Texture

Texture

Texture is the feeling and visual feel of the fabrics, colors, and room accessories. There are two types of texture; Tactile, or visual texture. Texture like grass sheets on a wall, or white pebbles imbedded in a concrete wall gives a three dimensional look to the wall and a few of shades of its colors. Texture is the roughness of the surface of a material. 

Shape

Shape

Shape is an area enclosed by lines or curves. It is 2 dimensional and can be geometric or organic. Shapes in house decor and interior design can be used to add interest, style, theme to a design like a door. Natural shapes forming patterns on wood or stone may help increase visual appeal in interior design.

Color

Color

Color is the most expressive element of art and is seen by the way light reflects off a surface. Colour is used to create illusion of depth, as red colours seem to come forward and blue seems to recede into the distance. Colour, and particularly contrasting colour, is also used to draw the attention to a particular part of the image.

Line

Line

Line is the mark made by a moving point, such as a pencil or brush. The edges of shapes and forms also create line. Is the basic component of a shape drawn on paper. Lines and curves are the basic building blocks of two dimensional shapes like a house's plan.

1. A pinhole camera is a very simple camera with no lens and a very small aperture.  A pinhole camera's shutter is usually manually operated because of the lengthy exposure times.  typical exposure range from 5 seconds to hours or even days.

Darth Maul, is the best Sith to ever live.  The only problem is that Maul was killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi.  Maul was loyal and would never betray his master, most Sith would.  Every Sith must have a tattoo on their body.  Most Sith have a small one, but Maul went a little overboard.
